As far as possible we try to source local seasonal produce which will be reflected in the menu.  Many of the vegetables and soft fruits are produced in our own potager, providing the very freshest of food.
Our Story

Welcome To Chateauret

Having discovered a talent for cooking, Sam spends hours in her kitchen preparing high quality meals for our guests.  Being described as a seasonal food evangelist, Sam believes that the best meals are created from scratch using ingredients which are at their best. Food is sourced from the local market and regional producers and also from our own garden, which in summer is packed with salads, vegetables and a big selection of edible flowers Be prepared to be surprised and delighted by the quality of the meals

Breakfast

Your day will start with a continental style breakfast, served in our light and airy dining hall. Comprising of delicious french bread collected daily from our local bakery, croissants and a selection of home made jams….

Breakfast also includes: seasonal fresh fruits and homemade  compotes a selection of cereals and home made meusli. Local yoghurts and cheeses Porridge and Coeliac bread are available on request

Afternoon Tea

Returning home from your cycle ride, you will find a fresh homemade cake along with tea and coffee, just the thing to get you up the last climb.  There is free tea and coffee available all day in the guest kitchen along with a fridge and microwave.

Dinner

A four course evening meal with wine, will be served every evening at 20h,  following aperetifs served on the terrace or in the salon at 19h30 . We have one night off per week, when you can eat at our local Bistro

Balance

We try to provide you with delicious balanced meals that will be suited to your cycling requirements . Most meals are very vegetable rich and low  fat and everything is prepared from scratch using only the freshest ingredients  

Special Diets

We can cater for people with special diets and allergies, including vegetarians and coeliacs (although we cannot cater for Vegans). Please let us know at the time of booking, as menus are planned in advance and cannot be changed at short notice
