Discovering the Massif Central with Correze Cycling Holidays

Where is Corrèze?

Corrèze is a French department situated to the north of the South West region of France, and to the west of the Massif central. getting to Corrèze is relatively easy thanks to good rail, air and road links.

We can send you driving directions to help you plan your route. We do encourage you to follow our directions as GPS tends to take people a ‘more direct route’ which involves small single track twisty lanes and an extremely narrow ancient bridge, which adds a good 20 minutes on to the journey… local knowledge rules!

Many of our guests choose to bring their own bikes by plane – there’s nothing better than your own wheels!.  Carriers charge around £50-£70 each way to transport bikes, which must be packed in a suitable container and there is usually a weight limit of around 30 kilos.  Bike boxes come in all shapes and sizes and are also available for hire.  If we are booked to collected you from the airport there is no need to worry – we will bring our Crewbus, which has space for 5 guests and their bike boxes and luggage.

Some guests have had their biked shipped to us which can be significantly cheaper – we are more than happy to take delivery of bikes up to 10 days in advance of your holiday, although you will still have to unpack them when you arrive…

Shipping your Bike to France

A good alternative to risking your precious bike to the ‘care’ of the Airlines, is to ship your bike. There are now specialist operators who can arrange to collect and deliver your bike, for around the same price that you would pay an airline carrier, but with the benefit that you don’t have to lug a huge bike box around the airport – especially great if you have to transit across Paris.  Sendbike offers this service.

We are happy to take delivery of your bike before you arrive, and store it safely. Once your holiday is over, you can pack up your bike and book in the courriers – we will store the bike and liaise with the courrier company for collection.
