Swimming Pool

    

The pool 9m x 4.5 metres with its luxury wooden deck gives an infinity style view over the lake below.  Attractive planting, relaxing loungers and sunshades make this a lovely area in which to chill out.  The pool has an underwater light to extend its useage into the evenings.  The pool is unheated and is comfortable for swimming between June and mid September. Towels for swimming are provided free of charge. There is a security cover and immersion alarm to comply with French regulations

Bike Workshop

    

The 'Bread Oven' is our dedicated bike workshop and secure storage for your bikes and equipment.  Bike stand, track pump and tools are available for routine maintenance. We have a range of essential spares on sale - innner tubes, brake blocks, cables etc, and we also have energy bars etc. available to buy from our honesty bar. The Bike workshop is locked overnight and when there is no one on site and is fully insured.

Terraces

    

There is a large sunny terrace between the house and barn where we serve afternoon tea and dinner whenever possible. There is also an outdoor sofa and chairs for extra comfort.

Below the barn there is a rustic north west facing terrace with another table and chairs - a nice shady spot on a hot day. Sunloungers are arranged on the terrace by the pool.

Gardens

    

There are hammocks set around the lake for shady relaxation, and you will find benches and other seating areas around the grounds. Extra cushions and throws are available to guarantee your comfort. 
We have a fire pit for spring and autumn evenings outside with plenty of wood availble (we have 10 acres of woodland and are self sufficient for firewood)
We have a selection of outdoor games available.

Fishing Lake

    

Our private lake is well stocked with carp and roach. They don't get fished very often and we are reliably informed that they are quite 'wild' fish!  Fishing rods, equipment and bait are available for hire exclusively for our guests, but must be reserved at the time of booking.

Indoor comforts

   

A library of books magazines and games are located in the entrance to the Salon.  There is a large selection of local tourist information and maps should you fancy a day off from cycling. There is also an IPod/MP3 docking station.

Kitchen

    

There is a small kitchen available for guests to use with a fridge and kettle. Complimentary tea and coffee are available here. There is also a 'honesty bar' of soft drinks, beer, snacks and fruit.
Pool towels are kept in the kitchen, and there are also plastic glasses to use by the pool.
Afternoon tea is laid out in the kitchen and guests can help themselves to tea and cake when they return from their ride

Laundry

    

There a washing machine is available for use by our guests for a nominal charge, no need to bring washing powder!

There is a washing line and pegs as well as a tumble drier.

Internet Access
Access via cable to the internet has proved elusive and so our only option for broadband access is via satellite.  As we have limited download we are unable to offer general WIFI access, however there is a small café less than 5 minutes from Chateauret where wifi is available for general use and is free with the purchase of a coffee! 
Should access be required urgently for email or flight confirmations, guests will be able to use our personal PC.  We actually hope that more limited internet access will actually enhance the relaxation of a holiday here at Chateauret - a true getaway.
